Jambbas Ranch

When the weather is really nice, we usually head out to Jambbas Ranch atleast twice a month. We just love Jimmy's stories that go along with the animals. If you ever have a chance to meet the Bass Family, you are definitely in for a treat! http://www.jambbas.com/ It takes a few minutes to get there, but it's worth it.

Every time we go to Jambbas Ranch, we see something exciting or unusual (sometimes both!). We've seen Jimmy help a Llama give birth...we've chased baby pigs that got out of their pen...we've seen the Camel's mating thingy (which was gross...he blew this big blubber bubble out of his mouth and made this weird noise!)...and this past Sunday, we got to see what the Ostrich's mating thingy is. The weird part is he liked HUNTER! I caught some of it on video to share with you. Before you watch it...let me set the stage for you. This huge 7-8 ft ostrich was chasing Hunter up and down the fence. When Hunter stopped running, the ostrich would drop down to his knees and start throwing his head/neck around while waving his wings. It was bizarre! And Hunter was a tease...he made him do that about 10 times. It was funny!

Here are some pics of our day. Enjoy!

If you decide to visit the ranch, call us and we'll be glad to meet you there!!
